Hundreds of miles from the Shire Frodo Baggins stands at the water’s edge gazing west. His thoughts turned inward Frodo does not hear the sounds of battle among the trees on the slopes behind him where his friends fight to buy his escape from the relentless Uruk-hai. Only now in the heavy stillness of this strange place so far from home does he understand how truly alone he is.
